In December 2012, Tampere University of Technology and Tampere Regional Glass Cluster released the new and improved Glassfiles.com web portal. The new version has been expanded and broadened compared to its predecessor generation. It serves its users with further developed user profiles, more comprehensive content and new interactive features. The around 30,000 users benefit from some 8,000 pages of information on glass technology and related subjects.
"The new Glassfiles is easy to use and its navigation features have been improved," says Brown Onduso, glass expert at the Tampere University of Technology. For new users registration is straight forward. Old users who log in with their old username and password need to update their user profile to validate the use of the new portal, Brown says. Easy to follow instructions will be issued to old users and their previous registration information will be transferred to the new Glassfiles.com site.
