Peter Cafiero (of Island Painting – NY) officially succeeded Clark Anderson (of Swanson & Youngdale – MN) as Chairman of the FCA International Board of Directors during FCA’s Signatory Contractors’ Conference. Additionally, Michael Mazzone (of Statewide General Contracting & Construction, Inc. – HI) joined the FCA Board of Directors.

“I’m looking forward to leading FCA International into its next chapter as Chairman and I hope I will serve the industry as well as my predecessors,” Peter Cafiero said. “FCA will continue to focus on representing the interests of signatory contractors and developing solutions for the common challenges they face.”

New Addition to the FCA Board

Michael Mazzone, President/CEO of Honolulu-based Statewide General Contracting & Construction, Inc., has joined the FCA Board of Directors. After enlisting in the Marine Corps, Michael pursued a career in drywall installation, starting as an apprentice. He spent time working for the local apprenticeship fund and eventually started his own business. Michael is currently the Vice President of the Hawaii Wall & Ceiling Industry Association, and FCA is looking forward to him getting involved at the international level. Michael’s expertise and perspective in drywall, training and business will be an asset to the industry nationwide.

New Executive Team

In addition to Cafiero’s confirmation as Chairman, the FCA Executive Committee changed. FCA’s Executive Committee is comprised of its Chairman, Vice Chair and Treasurer. Joining Cafiero in the executive committee are Penny McDonald (of Tri-State Painting Co. – IN), succeeding Cafiero as Vice Chair; and Brad Pinchot (of Frank Novak & Sons – OH) succeeding McDonald as Treasurer.

Cafiero and McDonald previously served on the executive team for the last five years. Their leadership was instrumental as FCA helped its contractors navigate an unprecedented pandemic and continued its push to serve as signatory contractors’ international voice. They will continue to push and ask the right questions to ensure signatory contractors’ interests are represented, heard and understood.

History of Leadership Excellence

FCA International has always been driven by the guidance and direction of its contractor leadership and members. FCA is excited to implement this leadership team’s vision for your association and industry.

“Throughout our entire history, FCA International has been blessed with excellent leadership who drive our industry forward,” Anthony Darkangelo, CEO of FCA International said. “Peter has served on our board since 2015, and he was a natural fit to be our next chairman. Mr. Mazzone’s addition to the board will also increase our perspective. I am confident that Peter and the rest of the FCA leadership team will lead FCA into the next chapter of being the signatory contractor organization that supports our signatory business needs.”
