PaintCare launched its 13th paint recycling program in Maryland on April 1, 2026. PaintCare serves one-third of the U.S. population, making paint recycling easier for anyone with leftover paint in CA, CO, CT, DC, IL, MD, ME, MN, NY, OR, RI, VT, and WA.

Contractors are encouraged to use the PaintCare program or the drop-off site locator to recycle their leftover paint at a PaintCare drop-off site or request a large volume pickup to conveniently manage large quantities of leftover paint.

PaintCare provides convenient ways for painting contractors to dispose of leftover paint to clear out storage areas and free up space for new jobs. In over 15 years of operation, PaintCare has collected an estimated 89 million gallons of leftover paint across the country. PaintCare makes it convenient for contractors, households, and businesses to dispose of leftover paint responsibly by offering drop-off sites at hardware stores and other facilities.
