About the Report
The report aimed to assess whether there are differences in safety outcomes between union and nonunion construction worksites by analyzing OSHA violations in the industry. The report analyzed over 37,000 OSHA construction industry inspections in 2019 (more than 2,800 union worksites and nearly 34,200 nonunion worksites) and it found that union worksites have significantly fewer health and safety violations.
