Since OSHA’s Respirable Crystalline Silica Rule was enacted in 2017, OSHA has extended employer regulations aimed at preventing workers from contracting silicosis in construction and a wide range of other industries. These regulations include mandating abatement standards that employers are expected to follow, dealing with everything from maintaining clean worksites, testing for silica exposure and providing effective PPE.
FCA developed comprehensive, trade-specific silica packages designed to provide signatory contractors with guidance and resources they need to reach and remain in compliance with OSHA’s Silica Standards. The Silica Packages were recently reviewed by safety experts to ensure they were up-to-date, and no changes were needed. If your company does not have FCA’s silica package yet, click here and use the form at the bottom of the page to request your free copy.
