Suicide Prevention Lifeline (U.S.) | Crisis Services Canada
With an average suicide rate about four times greater than the general population, the construction industry is impacted by suicide far more than we’d like to admit. For our industry to change, we must eliminate the stigma surrounding mental health in construction; we can help by talking about the issue and providing resources.
Mental Health Awareness month is a great time for signatory contractors to use the Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention’s Needs Analysis & Implementation tool, which was developed to aid companies in evaluating how they address mental health and suicide prevention in the construction workplace.
